The International Business Brokers Association ® (IBBA ®) is a trade association of business brokers providing education, conferences, professional designations and networking opportunities.
Formed in 1983, IBBA is the largest non-profit association specifically formed to meet the needs of people and firms engaged in various aspects of business brokerage, and mergers and acquisitions.
IBBA Canada was founded in 2010 and to date we have over 100 members in all parts of Canada.
IBBA Canada strives to create a professional relationship with successful business transaction advisors (i.e. accountant's, bankers, lawyer’s, and other related associations), to increase the image and value of IBBA Canada to its members and to be a leader in the exchange of business referrals.
Business Brokerage is regarded as one of the most demanding of all disciplines in the transfer of business from one owner to another. It requires the greatest skill set and in this regard IBBA Canada strives to provide training and educational programs to its members to keep them abreast of trends and best practices to ensure positive outcomes.
IBBA Canada has developed and runs its own annual conferences and Canadian specific training programs, which are taught by industry experts and professionals from respective fields. By the high standards set, the Canadian Chapter of IBBA has been able to 'raise the bar' in the level of competency within its membership base.
